Each date's Kuala Perlis and Kuah sailings as published by Langkawi Ferry Line for 2 November – 31 December 2026; no two days are alike · Representative sailings only — check the operator for today's full schedule
Not the car ferry This board covers the passenger boats to Kuah Jetty Point only. Vehicles cross from Kuala Perlis on separate RoRo ferries that use Tanjung Lembung, a different Langkawi port, with their own companies, times and booking rules (see the Kuala Perlis – Tanjung Lembung RoRo page).
Busy days and changes The operator's list flags sailings that are sold out or closed to sale, and it reserves the right to add extra trips or change times without notice. Check the list again shortly before you travel.
Map – Kuala Perlis – Langkawi (Kuah)
| Ticket type | Price |
|---|---|
| Adult, non-MyKad (foreign visitors, MyPR, MyKAS), single | RM45 |
| Adult, MyKad or MyTentera holder, single (RM1.70 fuel surcharge included) | RM22.70 |
Per passenger, single journey, the same whichever way you travel; amounts from the KPPL and PLKP ticket cards that Langkawi Ferry Line sells through CutiCuti Langkawi. Anyone without a MyKad, foreign tourists included, pays the non-MyKad adult price. Those cards define an adult as aged 12 and above, yet the child card runs from 3 to 12, so confirm the fare for a 12-year-old; child, MyKad senior (60 and over) and OKU tickets cost less and are not shown here. The sum due appears only at the CutiCuti checkout after signing in. No refunds: CutiCuti's terms let you move a booking to another date or time until 48 hours before sailing at a charge of 50% of the fare, but its FAQ also says confirmed purchases cannot be changed. All fares in Malaysian ringgit (MYR) unless another currency is shown.
Two kinds of boat leave Kuala Perlis for Langkawi, and they do not share a port at the other end. This page is about the passenger ferry run by Langkawi Ferry Line Ventures, which ties up at Kuah Jetty Point in Langkawi's main town. Cars, motorcycles and lorries go instead on RoRo vessels to Tanjung Lembung, run by other companies with their own booking rules. Langkawi Ferry Line gives the passenger crossing as roughly 1 hour 15 minutes, half an hour less than its Kuala Kedah sailing.
Sailing times are set date by date. For 2 November to 31 December 2026 the operator lists four boats a day in each direction on most dates, with five or six around 5 to 9 November. Depending on the day, the earliest departure from Kuala Perlis is somewhere between 06:30 and 13:00 and the latest between 14:00 and 20:00. Use the board above for the exact list on your date. It shows timings, not seat availability, and the list can change without notice.
A one-way ticket costs RM45 for adults without a MyKad, foreign tourists included, and RM22.70 for MyKad or MyTentera holders, a price that already contains a RM1.70 fuel surcharge. The fare is the same from Kuah. At the Kuala Perlis jetty Langkawi Ferry Line sells tickets at counters K3 and K12 (04-985 2539 or 04-985 1899); online sales go through CutiCuti Langkawi, which advises booking ahead because departures fill up and accepts e-tickets shown on a phone.
Report to the terminal at least one hour before your boat with a MyKad or passport. If you miss the sailing, CutiCuti treats the ticket as used and you have to buy another. Drivers who leave their car on the mainland can use one of the car parks around Kuala Perlis port mentioned by the Langkawi Development Authority's visitor guide.
- Arrive at the jetty in good time; check-in counters can close a few minutes before departure, and routes with immigration checks need extra time.
- Check the operator's notices on the day — rough seas, low tide and the monsoon seasons can change or cancel sailings.
- Carry your passport on routes to Thailand; some destinations charge a separate park or entry fee.
